This year marks seven years living in Berlin.
Since 2018, despite the interruption of the pandemic, I’ve been collecting a massive list of places to visit to get creative juices flowing. This started as a personal catalogue for when I needed inspiration, but now it’s grown so much that it feels time to share.
We moved to Berlin because it’s one of the most visually engaging places I’ve ever been. One street features street art and mismatched cafe seating on the street, another hides manicured parks and Michelin-starred restaurants. You truly never know what gems you’ll find here, and even after seven years I’m constantly delighted.
From bookshops to cafes, art supply stores to craft shops, galleries, museums, and restaurants, all my favorites are here. I’ve also included the closest transit stop, along with the line next to the location name.
No matter what time of year you come, there are treats in store, but the warm months are such a joy with breezy courtyards, strolls along the river next to bocce courts and parks, or even just a chat over coffee with a friend.
