When I was little, I dreamt of having a radio show on NPR. I even hid in my grandmother’s tiny powder room, which featured a mirror and sink directly opposite the toilet, where I hid and hosted my exclusive show, “Bathroom Talks.”
I can promise you that none of the episodes of the Secret Library were recorded in my bathroom. (However, if any guests want to come forward and admit they were in theirs while we recorded, I would be thrilled to hear this!)
Membership drives
Another part of listening to public radio was the ritual of the membership drive. I remember the hosts calling our for people to help them keep producing content year after year.
Having run the Secret Library almost entirely self-funded for nine years, I know understand how much it costs in time and money to produce a show.
Help us make The Secret Library self-sustaining
If you’re a long-time listener of the show, please help us keep making new seasons. The show will always be free to listen to so everyone can access. But for less than a cup of coffee in BER airport per month, you can keep the show going for all of us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for listening to the Secret Library since 2016. Let’s keep this going together, shall we?
