We love them, but do we always NEED them?

Oh yes, it is time for stationery and writing stuff.

There are very few topics as loaded for writers as their choice of tools. I am far enough down the fountain pen rabbit hole to know which brand, nib, and ink combinations suit which types of paper. I have strong preferences for ink color viscosity and pigmentation.
