This was such a great episode. I loved the discussion of the role of aunts in literature. I hadn't really thought about them from that perspective, and I am actually one of those aunts. And, the idea of of the Draft Zero approach was eye-opening! Thank you so much!

Yay for aunts! I’m so glad you resonated with the episode, Ellen. Everyone seems to be on fire for Draft Zero…it feels really freeing, doesn’t it?

The discussion on different decades of life and different characters being different ages of the author was so thought provoking that I paused the episode to write about my own imagination and experience of different decades.

I don’t think there’s any episode of your podcast that, once listened to, I don’t want to run out and buy/borrow the book. Probably good for my wallet and apartment that I don’t scarf down books as I once did!

This is high praise indeed — thank you Grace! I’m thrilled to hear you were inspired to journal and want to read the book. It’s a delight, and I know you’ll

enjoy it when it ends up on your nightstand 🩷
